since the second my shiny black, high waisted shorts arrived from the wonderous store room of American Apparel, i've been scratching my head as to how to wear them. when i first tried them on, i'm not going to lie, they were horrific. i decidedly threw them into the back of my wardrobe until a day came where i'd be a little more brave to tackle the near-impossibility of making these things look good. after this, i continued the whole ritual of taking them out, pairing them with something else and being horrified until i just gave up and decided that i just need to diet and they'll look better. yeah, right. that is, until yesterday! after seeing katy perry don an identical pair at V Festival, i've decided i need jewel-encrusted bosoms to make these shorts look amazing. okay, maybe that's a bit overboard, but i'm sure i'll find something sparkly and wonderful. after all, you can't wear lamé shorts with just any old tee..
