alexander mcqueen.

i genuinely shed a few tears watching this, i stil can't believe he's gone. but sarah burton has make a bloody good attempt at recreating his aesthetic, it's all so beautiful. a little softer, some may say, than mcqueen himself would have imagined, and perhaps a little more wearable. but so exquisitely put together, you can tell a lot of blood, sweat and tears went into this. the detail shots are magnifique! my favourite piece is the black leaf-like dress that looks almost glued to the skin.

louis vuitton.

it's disappointing that this just didn't work for me, because the hair and make up was simply divine! i can't wait for the style.com detail shots, i'll upload them once they're up. the collection was all a mish mash of animal prints/80's/satin/asian influences and i just don't get it. i like the high waisted pants and the lace hot pants, but that's it. come on marc, you're letting me down!

cushnie et ochs.

never, ever heard of cushnie et ochs before, but oh wow! those shoes are killer, firstly. and i'm totally in love with the miuccia-esque collared shirts & dresses. i can't wait to see more of their work.

prabal gurang.

it's like what gucci was supposed to look ike. the colour blocking is magnificent. the neutral pieces are beautifully minimalist, but gurang manages this without it being dull and shapeless. i need the blue & mustard combo asap!

alexander wang.

another one of my favourites letting me down! i had high hopes for alexander wang, i always do. looks like anna wintour's boy de jour just can't cut it anymore. he's having a hard time reproducing the success of his first few collections, and this is a major miss. some of it has potential if it wasn't so shapeless..
