i'm hoping to channel more alexa this year than anyone else, but wow, kate kills it everytime! and i've fully expressed my love for coco sumner before, so i shan't go on, but she looks awesome! these are only some photos from isle of wight '10, but expect more updates as and when i find more.

maxi.

as a girl of relatively average height, a less than ideal 5ft 6, anything past knee length has the tendency to make me look short and stumpy. us average girls have to salvage every last inch in any way possible, so maxi dresses and skirts have always been out for me. i am utterly envious of the plethora of amazonian beauties who stride down the street with a confident air in swaths of foot-length fabrics. but it's become ever more evident that actually, short girls can wear maxis and not look like hobbits, better yet, the evidence has been there all along! examine:

i know, i know, call me bias. but my girls do maxi better than any long-legged model ever could. and they're like, 5ft? i'm sure you've guessed from this epiphany that i'm now in search of the perfect black maxi dress for summer. cue spending hours trawling online! here are a few of my favourites:

l-r: black jersey maxi dress - alexander wang, mink maxi dress - warehouse, cream sequin maxi dress - missguided, black maxi skirt - miss selfridge, leather gladiator sandals - miu miu, studded wellies - hunter, tangerine glass pearl necklace - lanvin, brass coral cuff - valentino

i'm contemplating buying the alexander wang maxi, especially seeing as it's only £96, but it'd look great at night with a pair of minimalist black sandals or dressed down with those sexy ass miu miu gladiators. the black maxi skirt from miss selfridge is also a steal at a mere £16, so that's definitely going to be a T in the Park staple, weather depending of course. brown mud is most certainly de mode.
