I loved this, when I first saw it. The whole S/S 10 show for Rodarte was pure genius. I loved the grungy draping, the plaid and tie-dye prints, the wispy, understated pieces of lace, the dark lips. Love at first sight. But the tattoos, hmm. I guess they were relevant to the whole aesthetic, but a new trend? Please, NO. Tribal tattoos are strictly for men who frequent the gym too often, women with no taste and Cheryl Cole. The tattoos at Chanel were a touch more feminine and understated, but still screamed 'tramp stamp'. I for one am not convinced. Tattoos are generally ugly, I'm just pissed off that this trend is being thrust into the spotlight, even by Vogue, no less. What is happening to the world?!
